Berlin Logo

Update: Having fun with it and working on in it some more, I have come to this one. The slight resemblance to "I heart NY" of famous Milton Glaser is certainly welcome.
(It still needs some touch-up; the B and e are lousy and I am still not happy with the loop in the l. I'm not sure if people get that it is supposed to be the statue ontop of the gate... What do YOU think?)

Here is a logo suggestion for the city of Berlin. It is somewhat a combination of what the logo looks like at the moment, plus the recent claim "Be Berlin".

I wanted to come up with something that integrates the three elements "be", the gate and "Berlin" into one, thus making it less crowded than what they have:
